The Lokoja Branch of Magongo Development Association in Kogi State, Nigeria, has elected fresh crop of officials to run its affairs for the next two years.
The newly elected officials are Francis Afunmi Andrew (Chairman), Mr Bode Rufus (Secretary) and Mallam Sani Amodu (Financial secretary). Others are Mr. Godwin Akpata (Treasure) and Mallam Malik Ibrahim (PRO).
In his swearing in speech, the electoral officer, Chief S A Ojo, charged the newly elected Exco members to put the interest of the community above all considerations.
He enjoined the Executive members to do everything within their capacity to facilitate the development of Magongo.
In his inaugural address, the Chairman of the Association, Mr Francis Afunmi Andrew thanked the Association for the overwhelming support given him and the new Exco members.
He stated that with the calibre of persons elected, he had no doubt that they would deliver.
He therefore expressed gratitude to the present administration in Kogi State for the quality of leadership being exhibited, especially the governor, Capt Idris Wada, whom he described as a man with a midas touch.
The Chairman stated that the association and the entire people of Magongo remain resolute to support government, especially the Transformation Drive of the governor.
