Lokoja to Experience Water Scarcity Due to Repair Work

Water supply from Greater Lokoja Water Works will be disrupted as a result of electromechanical repair works to be carried out in the water plant.
A statement by the Kogi Ministry of Water Resources on Thursday in Lokoja said the repair work would last for three days from Jan. 5 to Jan. 7.
The statement by Mr Usman Musa, the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, said the repair would cause water scarcity in Lokoja and environs and expressed regret the inconveniences would cause the general public.
“This is to inform the general public that the supply of water from Greater Lokoja Water Works will be disrupted as a result of need to carry out electromechanical repair works.
“This is scheduled to commence on Jan. 5 to end Jan. 7, 2018,
“We regret the inconveniences this will cause the general public. Thanks for your understanding”, Musa said.
The ministry urged residents to exercise patience and support government’s efforts to ensure adequate water supply across the state.
