The Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has paid a visit to the Commander 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General KU Sidi at the office in Lokoja.
The Chairman stated that the visit is to personally thank and appreciate the Brigade Commander for leading joint taskforce and his commitment to ensuring that every identified criminal camp and hide out is cleared and the kidnappers eliminated.
He commend Brig. Gen. KU Sidi for leading the team to record many successes in the last three weeks in particular, the elimination of the two of the notorious kingpins, Bala Kachalla and Babangida with over 20 of their men.
Brigadier General Sidi also commended the Lokoja Local government Chairman for promptly disseminating the information, a proactive step that ensured the quick mobilisation and rescue of the 17 travelers before they were taken too deep into the forest.
While commending the active roles played by the local security groups, he urged affected communities to continue to remain on alert.
Comrade Abdullahi urged the residents of the communities where these operations are being carried out to continue to cooperate with security operatives in providing useful Intel that would help dismantle the criminal network seeking refuge in the vast forest.
He appeal to the general public to continue to support Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s deliberate and committed resolve to reclaim every inch of the forest where kidnappers are camping.
“We must continue to thank His Excellency for all the support he has given our men. His commitment to securing the lives of both residents and traveler transversing through our state is worthy of our good will and prayers.”
