The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi state, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has announced sponsorship of exceptional pupils for the 2025 Gifted Examinations scheduled to place on Saturday, 31st May.
He has earlier mandated the LGEA Office to select the best pupils from across the public primary schools for the sponsorship.
Comrade Adams made this known when he addressed the pupils selected to participate in the 2025 Gifted and Talented Examination for admission into JSS 1 in Federal Government Academy, Suleja on Friday.
The Chairman who was represented by the Education Secretary, Alhaji AD Yakubu during the briefing at the secretariat charged the pupils to put in their best, be of good conduct during the Examination and ensure they come out with flying colours.
The NECO Coordinator, Mr. Thaddeus Ajabu in his remark commended the Council Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu and Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr Farouk Yahaya for playing a vital role in ensuring that a Centre for the Gifted Examinations was created in Lokoja Local Government Area.
He applauded the Chairman for fulfilling his promise to do whatever it takes to set up a Centre for the Gifted Examinations in Lokoja Local Government when the NECO officials paid him a courtesy visit in January.
The Gifted Examination offers a free scholarship including accommodation, feeding, uniforms at the Federal Government Academy Suleja, and an opportunities for foreign scholarships.
