The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to resist manipulations in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
In a statement signed by the director of research and documentation, Dickson Achadu, PDP said it is prepared to watch the process leading to and the conduct of the polls.
The party alleged that the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) is planning to recruit card carrying members of All Progressives Congress (APC) as ward returning officers.
The PDP advised KOSIEC to remain an unbiased umpire and respect the right of Kogites to vote for candidates of their choice.
The party warned that any attempt to rig the polls will be vehemently resisted.
Election into the twenty one local government councils has been fixed for Saturday, 12th December in the state.
