- promises to deliver on election, LGA reconnaissance
Ahead of the December 12, 2020 local government election in the state, Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Political Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has been appointed to lead the campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba/Bunu.
Omoluabi, during an interaction with newsmen in Lokoja on Friday, expressed gratitude to the chairmanship candidate of APC, Hon Olorunleke Moses Olorunmola and the leadership of the party for finding him worthy of what he called noble assignment.
He assured he will work with utmost dedication, diligence and commitment to ensure the victory of the party and her candidate in the election.
He stated that as a progressive party, the APC is looking beyond victory at the polls but how to galvanize stakeholders to make the local government the envy of others through visionary leadership upon election of its chairmanship, vice chairmanship and councilorship candidates.
“As a party, we are not perturbed because we know that the good people of Kabba/Bunu are massively with us. Not only that our candidates are experienced, they also enjoy goodwill among our people because of their track records.
“We are not only sure of victory, we are sure that our local government will witness unprecedented turnaround as our people will be given the deserving leadership,” he said.
On the areas of focus for the campaign council, the governor’s aide listed primary health care and health infrastructure, education, infrastructural development, entrepreneurial development and youth empowerment.
“These are core areas that borders on wellbeing, good standards of living and progress of our peopleĀ
“Our chairmanship candidate has after careful and incisive consultation, come out with process that will engender participatory governance in our LGA which will guarantee far reaching, noticeable and lasting development that promotes quality of life.”
While calling on the people to vote for APC candidates in the upcoming election, Omoluabi assured that it will create further opportunities for them to reap more dividends of democracy.
