LG Polls: Ogori-Magongo LGA Unites for APC

Ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in Kogi state, the people of Ogori-Magongo local government area have pledged their unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) owing to the unique leadership style of Governor Usman Ododo.

Stakeholders spoke in unison on Saturday in meeting at the behest of a prominent son of Ogori-Magongo and community leader, High Chief Meka Silvanus.

High Chief Meka Silvanus, as a mediator, delivered the goodwill message of Governor Ododo, soliciting support for the APC’s consensus chairmanship candidate, Hon. Maria Rosemary Ohiezu.

He also met with the Council of Chiefs from Magongo and Ogori, assuring them that a new chapter has opened for the community. He appealed for their support and cooperation, highlighting the unprecedented human and physical developmental strides recorded by the current administration.

The traditional rulers, in their response, pledged their full support for the APC candidate, acknowledging the governor’s efforts in transforming the LGA.

Chief Meka visited Prophet J.S. Eden, a renowned cleric in Ogori, seeking his support and prayers for the success of the endorsed APC candidate. The Prophet commended the developmental strides of the state government and urged the government to prioritize policies benefiting the people. He prayed for High Chief Adesina Meka Silvanus and the success of the APC candidate, Hon. Maria Rosemary Ohiezu.

The Ogori Descendants Union (ODU) National President, Engr. Gbemi Omole, was visited towards consultation to ensure the community throws its support behind the APC candidate. He emphasized the need for unity and cooperation among the people of Ogori-Magongo.
