Ahead of October 19 local council elections in Kogi state, Hon. Muhammed Yahaya Dongo has described the chairmanship candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okene and Ogori-Mangongo local government areas as the choice of the people.
Dongo made this known when he paid a visit to Hon. Ahmed Nuhu Enesi, the APC Chairmanship Candidate for Okene LG.
Accompanied by the Kogi State APC Youth Leader, Hon. Muhammed Muhammed and Hon. Idris Alooma, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on grassroots mobilization and some party members, Hon. Dongo noted that he sees the need as a party loyalist who hails from Okene LG to visit the candidate to show him support for the forthcoming election.
He expressed confidence in the capacity of the Hon. Nuhu Enesi as he has been tested and trusted when he served as Caretaker Chairman of Okene LG.
He noted that Enesi demonstrated quality leadership in the areas of local government welfare, and many areas that needed attention, adding that he has no doubt that victory is assured for the APC.
Hon. Ahmed Nuhu Enesi, who was represented by his campaign teams, thanked Hon. Muhammed Yahaya Dongo for the great visit. He apologized for not been available in person to received the Honourable and his entourage. He assured the Hon Dongo of his commitments for the good people of Okene LG and promised to do more when he is elected.
Hon. Muhammed and his entourage proceed to the residence of Hon. Rosemary Ohiezu, the Ogori-Magongo APC chairmanship candidate.
Hon. Dongo described her as people’s choices and thanked Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for paving way for women to lead and display their abilities in governance.
He noted that Hon. Ohiezu has done a good job in Ogori-Magongo in areas of security, women empowerments, health and child education when she was caretaker chairman, adding that her good leadership shows the Ogori/Magongo is in a good hands.
In her remarks Hon. Rosemary thank Hon. Muhammed and his entourage for this special visit and promised that he will not disappoint the women and the good people’s of Ogori/Magongo when elected.
