LG Polls: Mopamuro APC Campaign Council Seeks Traditional Council’s Royal Blessing

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Campaign Council of Mopamuro (Destiny/Joy 2024), on Tuesday solicited the royal blessings of Mopamuro Traditional Council ahead of the October 19th Local Council elections in Kogi State.

It would be recalled that Hon. Ademola Bello (Destiny) and Hon. Joy Dalumo, had in the APC LG primary conducted, emerged as the Chairmanship Candidate and running mate of the APC, respectively.

The Chairman, APC Campaign Council, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, led the campaign train on Tuesday to the palace of the Elulu of Mopa HRM, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, who doubles as the Chairman Mopamuro Traditional Council.

Fanwo, who is the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, while introducing the candidates, said they have not come to campaign but appreciate the traditional council for their support for government and APC.

He eulogised the APC Government under the past Alhaji Yahaya Bello administration and incumbent Governor Ahmed Ododo, for their love, respect, and honour for the traditional council, especially in Mopamuro.

Fanwo stressed that virtually every community in Mopamuro had a graded Chief or Stool, while also congratulating Mopamuro for having the College of the Education (Technical) in Mopa.

He disclosed that the administration of Governor Usman Ododo would soon execute its plan to build modern facilities for the higher institution, adding that the government is currently reconstructing roads in Mopamuro.

The APC campaign council chairman assured that the APC government would l remodell schools and healthcare facilities in a few months in Mopamuro.

Fanwo further congratulated Hon. Ademola Bello, assuring the entire Traditional Council that the Destiny/Joy ticket will not disappoint them.

Fanwo congratulated Oba Muyiwa Ibeun for his ascension on the throne, saying he had brought good tidings for Mopamuro, apart from his personal efforts in influencing projects and development.

In his remarks, Oba Ibeun, noted that the Royal Fathers are not politicians, but he believed that the APC has done well for Mopamuro and the State at large.

The paramount ruler noted that Hon. Fanwo did not mention all the projects of the government in Mopamuro, while he also appreciated member representing Mopamuro in Kogi Assembly, Hon. Olawunmi Jacob, for his efforts that will show forth very soon.

Also speaking, the Alamuro of Amuro, HRM Oba Alfred Modupe Aiyedogbon, congratulated the APC, and urged them to fulfil their promises and not forget the Traditional Council when they assumed the executive leadership of the Local Government.

On his part, the Adetula of Ilai, HRH Oba Ibilaiye Abayomi Samuel, expressed his confidence in Hon. Ademola Bello, that he will perform well.

In his address, Hon. Ademola appreciated the entire Traditional Council and Mopamuro people, assuring them that he will not disappoint them.

The highlight of the event was the prayer offered by all the traditional council Chiefs and Kings, for the Chairmanship and councillorship candidates for a successful outcome.

In attendance are all members and leaders of APC and the campaign council in Mopa, and some others were mentioned in absential.
