Alhaji Suleman Mohammed, a chairmanship aspirant in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State, has promised to turn Ibaji to a modern city and also commit all his leadership experience and influence to develop the area.
Alhaji Mohammed, while speaking with newsmen on Thursday, said he promised to liaise with the Kogi state government, all the traditional leaders, leaders of thought, stakeholders, political leaders and the councillors at the local level to develop Ibaji town into city together, if elected as the Chairman of the local government in the upcoming October 19 local government council election in the state.
“I have served Ibaji local government council as Director before I retired, contested House of assembly seat in Ibaji, became the Deputy Governorship candidate of GDPN and presently the Deputy Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum, Kogi state,” he said.
He further said he was appointed as Coordinator for Tinubu presidential campaign organization through the immediate past minister of Federal Capital Territory (State), Hajia Ramatu Aliyu.
Alhaji Mohammed appealed to the entire people of Ibaji community to vote for him enmass, assuring that he will be transparent and be accountable to the people.
“If voted as chairman, I will ensure that I liaise with the state government to provide a quality and standard road to Ibaji and vows that he will turn Ibaji to a modern city,” he promised.
He commended Gov. Usman Ododo for the prompt payment of workers salaries and his policies and programmes that is presently cushioning the effect of hardship in the state.
