Ahead of the yet-to-be-announced local government polls in Kogi State, a chairmanship aspirant for Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon Shehu Tijjani Bin- Ebaiya has promised to operate an all inclusive government.
In a chat with our reporter in Lokoja today, Bin-Ebeiya said he is in the chairmanship race to bring the needed development to his people.
A community based philanthropist-turned politician, Ebeiya stated that if elected his agenda would be people oriented administration.
Hon Shehu, who has been in politics since the inception of democracy in 1999, assured his people that he would tame youth restiveness through the creation of job opportunities if elected.
While assuring that his chances of picking the APC ticket to contest the election are bright, Ebaiya said poverty was the major cause of youth restiveness and promised to address it if elected by his people.
He said; “I will give adequate attention to women and youths in the locality by empowering them. Our people have suffered enough hence I am out to alleviate their plight.”
He also promised to cater for the aged and widows, saying that, “my people know what I can do. I am not out to make empty promises; they should see me as somebody on a mission to bail them out of poverty. I will carry everybody along if elected as the next chairman of Lokoja local government area. Our people need not suffer.”
“I will create the enabling environment in Lokoja Local Government Area as the council chairman and when there is peace, investors will not be scared to come and invest in the area. I am out to make a change in Lokoja Local Government Area,” the Chairmanship aspirant stated.
Hon Tijjani implored the people not to be carried away by the rumour that a certain aspirant had been adopted.
“It is a big lie that some people are spreading that some leaders have endorsed a particular aspirant; this is not true. We are all looking forward to a free and fair primaries at any given time and date.
He assured his teaming supporters that his chances of picking the APC ticket and emerging the next chairman of Lokoja local government area are very bright,” he concluded.
