The chairmanship ambition of Alhaji Eneye Muhammed Ametinigo received a boost today when he received the endorsement of the Adavi Youth Frontiers in Kogi State.
Alh. Muhammed is a chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adavi Local Government.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to Alh. Muhammed at his residential house at Inoziomi layout, Adavi local
government, Kogi State, the general secretary of AYF, Comrade Danfulani Ohinoyi Lukman, said the group
undertook the visit to applaud Muhammed’s courage in declaring interest to run for the Chairmanship position of Adavi local government. He noted that the AYF was convinced that “only a man of repute can effect the positive change that is so dearly needed in Adavi local government”.
The AYF is made up of over twenty organisations, including traders’ business men and women, students, youths and professionals of Adavi extraction across the 11 wards of Adavi local government.
The group was represented by chairmen and secretaries of member organisations.
Comrade Danfulani said “it is this high profile of yours that has motivated us to unite and channel all our energy to focus on proper and adequate sensitization and awareness of brothers and sisters groups in Adavi to support your
candidacy,” he said.
Chairman of AYF, Abdullahi Hakeem, in his contribution said the group had supported all the candidates of APC in the past and would do everything within its powers to ensure victory for Alh. Muhammed Ametinigo.
Responding, Alh. Muhammed Ametinigo thanked AYF for their visit and support.
“With our victory, you will see a difference in what governance is all about,” Alh. Muhammed Ametinigo noted. He said security will be a top priority if elected chairman.
He urged the group to keep supporting APC candidates in the state starting with His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.
He advised members of the group not to relocate during the elections.
“Adavi will be safe. People should remain here and go about their lawful activities. This is your home. You are registered here and should vote here,” he added.
