Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni (AYO) has expressed optimism that the 9th National Assembly would be devoid of legislative rascality which has slowed down governance in the country.

The banker-turned politician disclosed this in Lokoja recently while fielding questions from journalists on his foray into politics of Kogi Central Senatorial District.

According to him, the 8th Senate which was built on ‘faulty foundation’ has been on ego trip with executive arm of government to the detriment of the people, adding that Kogi State is worst hit as a result of the flagrant display of immaturity and docility of its representatives.

“As far as we are concern, we do not have anybody representing Kogi State presently at the Red Chambers.

“The so-called representatives left their suppose primary mandate of people-oriented legislation to mindless and unpatriotic mudslinging and shadow chase. It is my fervent belief that the negative tides will change when we get the mandate come 2019”, he opined.

He further said that all the APC Senatorial candidates in the state are poised to hit the ground running, a stance that necessitated their recent visit to the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Complex and decisive steps taken for its eventual revival.

“The people of Kogi State have seen the light in the APC and will never allow known professional looters to have access to public treasury both at the Federal and state levels. We are ready for next level in our quest to salvage the state and the country at large”, he concluded.
