Kogi House of Assembly member representing Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area, Hon. Akande Moses has sent heartfelt condolence to the family, relations, friends, and to Christendom in general, on the passage of Very. Reverend Father Akande Ayo Anthony.
Hon. Akande made his feelings known in a statement issued to press men recently in Lokoja.
He noted that Fr. Akande, who before his demise was the Vicar General of the diocese and administrator of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cathedral, Lokoja, devoted many decades of his life to the service of God, and was an inspiration to many young people.
Hon. Akande believes that the departed priest will be fondly remembered and honored for his numerous social, economic, educational, peace-building and community development initiatives which greatly endeared him to people in his domain and other admirers across the country.
He urged all those who mourned the gifted preacher and peace loving priest to be comforted by the fact that Fr. Akande served God and man with great zeal, and such labour of love would never go unrewarded.
He prays that the almighty God will receive the soul of Fr. Akande and his good works be sustained by those he left behind.
