Kogi state Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has described the late member representing Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Alhaji Buba Umar Jibril as a worthy son and a hardworking politician who has impacted positively on the lives of his people.
Elder Achuba who stated this today at the 8-Day Firdau Prayer of the late Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives in Lokoja, said the lawmaker made his mark as the representative of the people both at the state and the national assembly.
He said his contributions at the floor of the House of Representatives would be missed greatly while calling on other political office holders to see their positions as a call to service for the people.
The Deputy Governor prayed God to grant the soul of the late lawmaker eternal rest while also praying God to console those he left behind.
The Firdau prayer was attended by the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, the former running mate to late Prince Abubakar Audu, James Faleke, the former Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Idris Wada, the former Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Architect Yomi Awoniyi and other members of House of Representatives.
