The standard bearer of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, identified inconsistency and lack of continuity as reasons why the pace of development in the country was very slow.
Speaking during an interactive session with newsmen in Lokoja, Captain Wada promised to consolidate on the laudable programmes initiated by the present administration in the state, by ensuring that all the people-oriented projects were completed.
He added that if elected in December, he would accord priority attention to education, tourism and establishment of small and medium enterprises, so as to make life more meaningful to the people.
Wada, who also assured that emphasis would be placed on youths and women empowerment, promised to find lasting solution to youth restiveness in the state by engaging them, so as to make them useful to the society. He said that once they became productive, they would shun thuggery and other social vices.
The PDP standard bearer equally promised to focus on internally generate revenue, since the federal allocation was too meagre to supply the needs of government.
