The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has hailed Governor Yahaya Bello for intervening in the strike by the Academic Staff Union (ASUU) of the state university.
President Comrade Ibrahim Amadu Akiti spoke yesterday at a news conference in Lokoja.
The activist hailed the amicable resolution of the crisis, which led to the reopening of the university
“We are delighted with the steps taken by the governor to end the industrial crisis. We, as students, will do our best to promote peace on campus,” he added.
Akiti warned the students to desist from acts capable of jeopardising the peace effort made by the government, even as he condemned the protest by some students, warning those behind such unruly behaviour to stop.
