It is decision season as Kogites will go to the poll come November 2019. But the question begging for answers is; are we going to stay in Egypt, the land characterised with poverty, insecurity, and retrogression?!
Certainly not!
Even as I try to summarize the whole questions begging for answers, I know that writing whole book is not enough to communicate the endless pain and penury of Kogites. The questions keep streaming like pool of blood from a heart stabbed. It keeps scaring me as it appears the accurate and appropriate answer is not in sight.
Are we going to give the mantle to a rookie who does not know what to do with power? Are we going to sell our future once again to an administration of starvation – an offspring of Joseph Stalin? An administration that took away vision and replaced the same with television and viewing centres across the whole state to engage kogites with sport rather than support?!
Should we die in Egypt or forge-ahead to see what wonder lies ahead for our state?!
At this point, the song on the lips of every Kogites should be “if we die we die!” but staying in Egypt under an administration that has glorified poverty and adopted hunger as state policy is not an option.
Our land and children must be freed from tyranny and sanity must be restored to all sectors of the state. Our land must be liberated this time. Kogites must not sell their birth-right for a pot of pottage this time.
If there’s only one time we have to speak against the reign of a draconian ruler, if there’s only one time we have to define the course of our state for good, if there’s only one time to be fearless in facing the red sea, there’s no better time than now!
Let’s show tyrant and tyranny the way out!
