#KogiGovRace: You Are Not Kogi Messiah, Senator Ugbane Blasts Prince Audu

Prince Abubakar Audu has been warned to stop parading himself in Kogi state as the political messiah of the people of the state.

An APC governorship aspirant in the state and two term senator of the Kogi East senatorial district, Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane gave the advice in Egume yesterday.

He described Audu’s claim to Kogi political messiah as not only contemptuous  but also blasphemous.

“The only messiah that I know of is Jesus Christ, not in Prince Abubakar Audu, he is not and he can never be”.

The four time commissioner of different ministries in Kogi state described Prince Abubakar Audu’s success while he was governor in Kogi state to a combined contribution and efforts of himself and some other other commissioners in the state.

“He should stop to claim the success of the state university I was the commissioner of education when the state university was established so I contributed to it”.

He said he was a foundation member  the Obajana cement industry and worked out the plan as a state commissioner for commerce that led to what is known as the largest cement industry in Africa.

“Let me tell you am not contesting for Kogi governor because of tribal and religion factor but because I am qualified and want to serve the entire people of the state”.

He described the Anyigba decamp exercise as fraudulent and deliberate attempt by Prince Abubakar Audu and his supporters to cow other governorship aspirants to step for him.

“I am not going to step down my governorship ambition for anybody I was only invited to receive new members not to attend Audu’s guber rally “.

He urged his supporters to remain calm and pray for a peaceful election in the state.
