The National Chairman of Network for Change and Good Governance (NCGG), Comrade Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, has confidently declared that incumbent Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State will defeat Prince Abubakar Audu or whomever All Progressives Congress (APC) picks as her candidate in the forthcoming governorship election.

Atumeyi made this bold assertion in a telephone chat with Kogireports.com

According to Atumeyi, “NCGG belongs to no political party and no politician can pay us for endorsement. We have worked with Senators in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC,  in other states so we find it absurd and uncharitable when some persons feel uncomfortable with NCGG’s endorsement of Capt Wada”.

“Let me state clearly, Wada has done creditably well with the little resources coming into the state. He is not a magician and cannot dash out money fraudulently as many expect”, he added.

“I have heard arguments for and against Audu, Wada and other aspirants and I can say with fear that Wada will win November 21 governorship elections in Kogi State”

On the strong agitation for Power-shift in the state, Atumeyi appeals to the good Kogites from West and Central senatorial districts to trust Wada with a new term and in return, the power will shift with ease.

“I am Igala, from Ankpa, I will champion the cause for Power shift come 2019. I believe strongly in power shift and know fully well that Kogi state is meant for one tribe. Power will surely shift”, he said.
