#KogiGovRace: Tunde Irukera Promises Immediate Employment of 2000 Youths Into State Civil Service

A top All Progressive Congress, APC, governorship aspirant, Mr Babatunde Irukera has pledge to immediately employ two thousand youths into the state civil service as support staff if elected into office.

Irukera made the pledge in a policy statement sent to Kogireports.com

The 2000 youths that will be employed will be mandated to acquire relevant skills that will aid and enhance their productivity.

“I will immediately set-up a well-funded entrepreneurship agency to discover, adequately support and unlock the potential of our youths”, the statement reads.

Irukera equally pledge to transform Kogi state from being a civil service state to an agricultural and manufacturing hub.

The 2015 Kogi governorship election is not in short of competent aspirants who have what it takes to move Kogi forward. The entrance of  high net-worth professionals like Babatunde Irukera is a welcome development.

Babatunde Irukera is a partner with SimmonsCooper Partners and has over 19 years of transactional, commercial litigation and practice management experience. His experience includes over 10 years in the United States engaging in complex commercial litigation and settlements including several jury trials and significant appellate work. At this time, he also successfully managed the transition of a small-sized firm in Chicago to fuse with a large broad-based practice in Simmons Cooper LLC. He has routinely conducted oral arguments before the US Court of Appeals and the Nigerian appellate courts with reported locus classicus that are currently of significant precedential value. Babatunde also deploys excellent pre-litigation and appropriate extrajudicial resolution strategies in resolving business and other disputes. Babatunde was educated at the University of Ife, Nigeria (1989) and admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1990. He is also admitted to the Washington State Bar (1996).
