I have no doubt that our brother, Honourable James Abiodun Faleke (JAF) is ably qualified to be governor of Kogi State but I am not too sure he is designed to be deputy governor especially to a character like Prince Abubakar Audu.
Before I write further, please don’t forget my last article where I silently informed you that Audu will not hand-over power to you come 2019. Keep this information in your left hand.
Now to my advice.
Recall that Audu was governor of Kogi state in 1992. Sir, his deputy was Chief Samuel Ola Akande. Audu was elected governor again in 1999 and his deputy was Chief Patrick Adaba. Audu has lost subsequent elections in 2003, 2007 (1st and re-re-run) and in 2011. His running mates in the last unfortunate electoral adventures were Dr Moses Wokili, Senator Mohammed Salami Ohiare and Barrister Henry Ojuola.
In essense, Audu has contest governorship elections in Kogi state with five (5) different running mates. Sir, ask very well, who among these five is still with Audu? Aside Ohiare that found himself in the same party with Audu presently, others avoid him politically like a plague. I am sure you read the news report on Ohiare’s stand on the Audu/Faleke ticket.
Sir, I am aware you have invested gargantuan sums into this ticket already and more investments are on the way. I do not wish that your investments go down the drain. Please, don’t assume anything. Pick credible leaders of thought from the five local governments in Okunland and hold a serious meeting with Audu. Ask Audu what is plans are for you. Is he just interested in your resources and networks? Please, ask the right questions now. Ask people why none of Audu’s past running mates are on the same page with him. Failure to ask right questions will land you where other are today.
My humble advice is in your own interest, sir.
