“Don’t let your life be used for election gains, but be alive and see if the wind of change will blow across Kogi state. ”

“BALLOT PAPERS DO NOT DEFINE LEADERS”, how? follow me…

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.  Pro 4:6 NIV

Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow citizens of this great state Kogi , it is not that we are not talking, we are not silent but in our words and actions, we must be wise and apply wisdom.

Elections belong to the people. It is their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters – Abraham Lincoln

It is obvious that the present day government in Kogi state do not respect the will of the people neither do they have the interest  of the people of Kogi state at heart. I took my time to go down memory lane and the election that brought this seating government to power , Capt. Idris Wada. It was full of fraud and electoral malpractices . “Remember if you get power by fraud or crook you will need fraud and crooked ways to sustain the power.”

The peoples interests are not prioritized, we have been robbed, and our security is not sure in the forth coming elections in this state, I urge our youths to learn from the history else they become the history the next generation will learn from. Politicians don’t think about the next generation rather the next election.

I want you to know this, No candidate worth a drop of your blood let alone your life. Reject every form of violence in this coming election.

In the past

We have been oppressed.

We have been cheated.

Our rights as citizens have been denied in many ways, and “Kogi youths have been victims of bad governance in this rich state since 1999 yet this same power monger  politicians are here again calling you out and seeking for your vote. Vote any of this two candidates and expect the worst( Audu or Wada).

The word “change” does not mean bring back the old criminal as new. It mean get the best, the fittest and the most competent to replace the old, the weak and the corrupt. Kogi state need to upgrade and stop dancing round the circle of power.

Our resources have been shared among our leaders and a privileged few.

But here comes election on 21st November 2015, hoping that it will be free, fair and credible. Many things have gone wrong but we trust God to look down on us as a state (people) once more.

For an election to be credible, free and fair it has to go through four processes.

1 voting.

2 Collating.

3 counting.

4 unbiased observation Report

Ladies and gentlemen, if any of this processes is tampered with, the election will not free, fair nor credible and we will rise up to ask questions.

We are in a season we cannot keep quiet and watch been oppress and manipulated by politicians.

I want you all to know, the decision makers who will choose the next governor of Kogi state is INEC and I want to use this opportunity to call on the state INEC commissioner ALHAJI HUSSAIN HALILU PAI, to conduct himself in the fear of God and do what is right in the sight of God.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Pro 9:10 NIV

I appeal to PDP and APC, LP and  other parties followers to shun violence, and get the job done with their PVCs and their thumbs.

In democracy the greatest weapon to chase your opposition out of power is your thumb.
Every election is determined by the people who show up.

The ballot is stronger than the bullet.

Your PVC is stronger than sword.

Our security agents should be cautioned also not to intimidate the voters.

A new Kogi state is possible with God.

A new Kogi state is possible with your vote.

A new Kogi state is possible as you come out to vote for Dr Philips Omeiza Salawu’s Labor Party.

I believe in change from bad to good.

Change from corrupt governance to good governance.

Change from abuse of power.

Change from abuse of civil servants .

Change from misappropriation of funds .

Ballot papers do not define leaders. Leadership is defined by conviction, vision, passion and inspiration.
