Mopamuro Local Government chapter of Accord Party has adopted the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Capt Idris Wada, ahead of the November 21 guber polls in Kogi State.

Addressing a PDP rally in Mopamuro, leader of Accord Party in the local government area, Commodore Folusho Daniel (retd,) said the decision of the party was occasioned by the transformation agenda of Wada’s administration and the need to ensure fairness in power distribution in the state.

According to the former instructor with the National War College, it is pertinent to work for Wada’s emergence in order to allow him complete ongoing projects across the state.

He said: “As a party in Mopamuro Local Government Area, we have considered the two candidates and come to the conclusion that Wada is the better candidate of the two. He is a leader that is humane, humble and genuinely committed to the development of the state.

“As an advocate of power rotation, I believe Prince Abubakar Audu lacks the will and capacity to effect power rotation in 2020. The PDP has shown a better framework for the actualization of power rotation in the state.”

Speaking in the same vein, the Secretary of Accord Party in the local government area, Mr. Emmanuel Remi Owotunse, said the decision to work for the success of PDP in the governorship election was reached after series of meetings to arrive at a popular decision.
