The Head, Media and Publicity Committee of Wada/Awoniyi Campaign Organization has dismissed ongoing rumour that the recently reinstated council chairmen across the 21 local councils in Kogi State were planning to defect to the opposition APC.
In an exclusive chat with Vanguard in Lokoja yesterday, chairman of the committee, Prince Bode Ogunmola, said the rumour underscored the desperation of the opposition party to spread falsehood for political gains.
Ogunmola said: “The recent reinstatement of the council chairmen has been a nightmare to the APC who are desperate to use falsehood to win the sympathy of the electorate that has continued to reject their candidate since 2003. Falsehood and unintelligent propaganda won’t save Prince Abubakar Audu from another defeat on November 21.”
“The reinstated chairmen have continued to pledge their unalloyed support to the governor. They are playing active roles in our ongoing electioneering and will win with Wada come November 21. What the APC propagandists have failed to know is that there exists a perfect chemistry between the council chairmen, the SSAs and our governor. PDP is one indivisible family in Kogi State”.
