The senator representing Kogi central senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe has felicitated with government and the people of Kogi state as the state celebrate 25 years of its creation.
Speaking through his media aide, Adetayo Opeyemi Duke, the senator on behalf of his family and the good people of Kogi central senatorial district felicitated with the good people of Kogi state on the auspicious celebration of the 25th anniversary of the State.
“I heartily rejoice with our people for attaining Silver Jubilee, despite all our encountered challenges in the past years.
“In spite of the fact that we have many ethnics and religious diversity in the state, Kogi has remained one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria.
“I am calling on leaders across the state to come together and chat a new course for the development of the state.
“We must educate our people on the need to drop our political and ethnic differences and close ranks to offer useful ideas that will improve the socio-economic standard of our people,” Ogembe appealed.
Senator Ogembe therefore urged the people to continue to leave in harmony and charge them to corporate with leaders at all level to ensure the dividends of democracy is adequately delivered.
“No society can get the needed development it deserve if her people are not in peaceful coexistence,” Ogembe added.
Senator Ogembe encouraged citizens to live in peace and harmony to make the State a better place.
