Not less than 12 Kogi wrestlers are taking in the 2nd edition of Gov Dickson National wrestling championships which will hold in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State.
Three coaches are to handle the wrestlers in different weight categories preparatory for the games.
The Chief Coach of the state wrestling Association, Coach Philip Momoh disclosed this while interacting with news in the state capital on the readiness of the wrestlers for the championships.
Coach Momoh disclosed that wrestlers who will represent the state are younger and energetic ones who have improved on their performances at the schools championships.
He added that two other coaches including him are engaged in the preparation of the athletes for the championships stressing that the state will come out in flying colours.
Coach Momoh then called on stakeholders and the authorities to support the wrestlers to do the state proud.
He said the winners will represent Nigeria at the African Wrestling Championships next year.
