The coming of Distinguished Sen Dino Melaye in 2015 as Kogi West Senator marks the emancipation and liberation of the People of Kogi West from wasteful 8 years of Egyptian representation of Sen Smart Adeyemi.
In the light of searching for credible representation, the good people of Kogi West found Sen Dino Melaye and voted him.
They found in him competence, honesty, legislative astuteness and intellectualism.
The Brief of Senator Dino Melaye’s (SDM) Stewardship in Three Years
SDM has to his credit under 3 years, highest legislative Motions and Bills in the current 8th Senate which include the famous Bill for the establishment of Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba (FUAK). It has passed the Senate third reading and have equally secured the blessing of NBTE, NUC, waiting for Presidential assent.
The aforementioned earned him best Senator of the year 2016 and 2017 respectively.
SDM under 3 years, attracted 149 constituency projects to Kogi West. Schools, solar water, electricity, roads, skill acquisition centre, town Halls etc.
Many of them were commissioned in December 2017 and the latest was July 2018.
SDM under 3 years, secured 12 Federal board appointment for some Kogi West constituents. They’ve since been inaugurated and have resumed.
He secured reasonable numbers of employment for youths in Kogi West in various government agencies, parastatals and in the private sector.
Purchase of JAMB forms for 400 Kogi West constituents. (2015- date)
Payment of WAEC fee for 350 Kogi West Constituent every year.
Educational scholarship for 85 less privileged Kogi West indigent students.(2016 till date)
Rehabilitation and sinking of over 100 boreholes across Kogi West (Dec. 2016).
Empowerment of of widows with tools to enhance their living conditions.
SDM equally distributed 350 fertilizers and other farming implements to some constituents who are mainly farmers.
General empowerment for youths, artisans with the procurement of thousands of sewing machines, hair dryers, grinding machines, generating plants, donations of vehicles and buses to religious organizations, distribution of motor circles, cars, cash donations to community organizations & financial assistance to some constituents.
His achievement are visible and verifiable.
SDM is accessible and available at all times to the good people of Kogi West.
He recently provides relief materials worth millions of Naira for the affected flood victims in Lokoja, Budan, Kakanda and environs who were seriously ravaged the due to flood.
SDM, as he is popularly known, is currently working on the successful actualization of the Federal University Bill, Kabba which is already at an advanced stage.
Kogi West will never go back to Egypt!
SDM represents progress, development & service to the people. Productive politics is his ideology.
