Kogi West: Tribunal Judgement Exposed PDP Fraud – Speaker

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) Kogi West Senatorial District, Rt Hon Matthew Kolawole has commended the judgement on the last National Assembly Election in the district that sacked Senator Dino Melaye.

In a press statement signed by his spokesman, Femi Olugbemi, the Speaker stated that the judgment has further confirmed the level of fraud perpetrated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the last general elections.

He said the decision of the Tribunal to “order fresh election inline with the prayers of Senator Smart Adeyemi CON was a victory for not only our candidate and party but for the entire well meaning people of Kogi West who don’t belief in hooliganism and thuggery before they can get anything done.”

He said this has shown clearly that the people really voted for APC during the said election but the result was manipulated in favour of the opposition.

According to him, the outcome of the Tribunal has rekindled hope of the common man in the judiciary, noting that truly the elections were marred with irregularities.

He said the PDP who went to court to get a judgment for the results of the election to be announced in the senatorial headquarters which is Kabba because of their desperation supported INEC to revert to Lokoja against the judgment they got themselves.

He called on members of the party to be vigilant and prepare for the task ahead as despite the judgment is being appealed at the higher court, he is confident that the decisions of the senior jurists will go the same way of the Tribunal.

He commended Governor Yahaya Bello whose leadership style has endeared the good people of Kogi State to APC, promising that the Governor will have a smooth sail in the forthcoming election.

He congratulated Senator Smart Adeyemi and the APC family on the victory at the Tribunal, noting that this has further confirmed that Kogi State is APC state.
