The APC camp of Senator Smart Adeyemi is currently in jubilation mood. This is in response to news reports yesterday that the national leadership of PDP summoned a meeting of “selected few stake holders” of the party to Legacy House Abuja. According to our source, the national chairman of the party was said to have made it crystal clear that there should be automatic ticket for Senator Dino Melaye.
I gathered reliably that the stake holders immediately objected to that and made it emphatically clear to Wadata landlord that there must be primaries for all positions that are up for election come 2019 and in a way, it was partially agreed that all should go to primary.
However, there is a lot of jubilation and handshakes in the APC camp of Senator Smart Adeyemi.
I can confirm authoritatively that their happiness emanate from the fact that if Dino is eventually given automatic ticket, it will just be a walk over for Senator Smart. Reasons been that Senator Dino has so many trouble hanging on his neck ranging from his numerous cases with the Nigerian Police, a lot of people in the national assembly and mother of it all, his cat and rat relationship with Kogi State government.
It is believed that the moment Dino get his ticket, all his court cases will be resuscitated and thoroughly dealt with such that Dino won’t be able to contest, talk less of winning an election.
It is a known fact that Kogi state government won’t allow Dino to campaign in the state and as such, cannot seek peoples votes which will automatically give Sen. Smart Adeyemi a very comfortable victory.
It is left to be seen if PDP will give automatic ticket to Dino and how Senator Smart ‘s camp will further react.
