The people of Kogi West Senatorial District have been called upon to use the about fifty legislative Bills sponsored, forty motions moved and numerous developmental achievements of Hon. Sunday Karimi as benchmark for electing him into the red chamber of the National Assembly.
A group, Ijumu Frontier, made the call at a press conference in Lokoja on Tuesday.
According to the spokesman of the group, Jamiu Ilujunka, the people of Ijumu local government area of Kogi State have thrown their weight behind Karimi in his bid to represent Kogi West in the Senate.
He described Karimi as a noble legislator whose performance in the lower chamber of the National Assembly has been superlative.
The spokesman stated that Karimi has justified the mandate given to him by the people of Yagba Federal Constituency and that placed him above other contenders in the race to the much anticipated 2019 Kogi West senate election.
He pointed out that Karimi’s legislative prowess makes him deserving of a higher responsibility in the Senate.
“We have endorsed Hon. Karimi as our preferred Senate candidate for the 2019 general elections. It is also worthy of note that Karimi hails from the Federal Constituency that should produce the next Kogi West Senator.
“Hon. Karimi has moved 45 motions, sponsored about 27 Bills and has numerous constituency projects across Yagba Federal constituency. We appreciate his motion on the urgent need to stem the rising prices of commodities in Nigeria. This was a pro-massess legislative action! It is note worthy that Hon. Karimi also moved the motion calling on Federal Government to reconstruct the Obajana-Kabba-Isanlu-Egbe-Ilorin road among other notable motions.
“Hon. Karimi has proven that he can carry the burden of leading Kogi West to the promised land,” he said.
