In our clime in which political office is often perceived and associated with self – interest, patriarchy, wealth amassing etc, a Nigerian who has emerged on the political scene, and exhibited uncommon passion to make a difference, a symbol of hope and inspiration and changing the narrative is Otunba Olayinka Braimoh.
Prior and after his grandeur emergence on the political stage, the youthful, useful and vibrant Entrepreneur cum Politician has defied all odds, in spite of the formidable challenges along his path.
In few years of his political sojourn, relationship and interaction with the proletariat and bourgeoisie, Otunba Olayinka has continued to embody the traits of a builder of men, passionate, committed and inspirational leader, who is resolute in his pursuit of creating a positive impact and enabling environment for all.
Unfazed by the ineptitude of the electoral umpire, power of incumbency and well established political opponents in the 2023 guber election in Kogi State, the firebrand Olayinka has continued to exemplify the adage that success can be attained through unstinted commitment, never – say- die attitude and unconditional determination.
By his action and interfacing with his followers, loyalists and constituents, Braimoh’s story is a testimony to the potency of young people to effectuate positive change, optimism and instill hope.
Undeterred by the well – orchestrated religious, ethnic and cultural diversity often discouraging “new entrant” from jostling for office in Kogi State, the highly courageous Olayinka embarked on rigorous but issue – based campaigns that has changed his political fortune.
Through dint of hard work, sheer determination and effective utilisation of his intellectual and oratorial skills coupled with digital media engagements, he has gained the indirect support and sympathy of even his sworn critics!
As it stands, Otunba Olayinka perceives every obstacle as an avenue for growth and development, hence using his political experiences to inspire other young chaps, irrespective of tribe, gender, religion, class and other minute considerations to follow in his footsteps.
As 2027 Kogi West draws closer, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh is very much in consonance with strategic planning and management, grassroot politicking, community support and engagements through his consistent participation in reaching out to his constituents on /off political season.
Armed to the brim with a deeper understanding of the needs of his constituents, if elected, he is going to instantaneously embark on people – centred development strides.
With no equivocation, Olayinka’s wealth of expertise, knowledge and network of opportunities is the arsenal required to turning – around the untapped potentials that abound in Kogi West to desirable fortunes.
In 2027, if we (Kogi West) entrust our social mandate in the hands of an ingenious, rare breed and well – travelled Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, he is firstly going to serve with the fear of God, and secondly, we are optimistic, he is going to utilise public office to effect unprecedented innovation, stewardship, prudency, infrastructure development, facilitate employment opportunities etc for the benefit of humanity.
