Yagba Students under the aegis of “New Order for Change Initiative” in Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, have thrown their weight in support of Barr. Tunde Irukera’s senatorial ambition.

The student body in a statement issued and signed by Bode Elvis, its President, said Irukera’s aspiration would have positive impact if he is elected.
The statement noted with concern the poor representation the area has had in the past. The group said they see Irukera’s aspiration as a good development, capable of bringing back the lost glory of the Okun Nation.
While calling on politicians from the district to close ranks ahead 2019, the student body warned that Yagbaland can produce the senator in 2019 if they have a harmonious front.
The student body charged the electorates to see Irukera’s aspiration as different from the run of old politicians who have had their hands tainted, recycled, and are not of the new order. He appealed to voters across Kogi West to rally round Irukera.
The group said it intends to begin an online message drumming support for Irukera’s ambition, noting that he represent a new breed and order.
While noting that the group will formally endorse Irukera’s aspiration during her December convention.
Describing him as best among those intending to represent the West in the National Assembly in 2019, the group warned youths not to allow themselves to be used as a negative tools of distrust, urging them to make their choices to satisfy their conscience with the interest of the Okun Nation at heart.
