My opinions on the fourth attempt by Ajanaku for Kogi West senatorial seat has been given many colourations. Some have attributed it to hate others envy but the fact remain that many because of sentiment, patronage and myopia refused to see beyond the present.

Others in their inner hearts will complain about the disaster 2007-2015 was for us in terms of representation at the highest law making chamber in the land but scared to share their disappointment and misgivings openly.

My criticism of bad leadership at whatever level is not a new venture and for as long as the negative effect of political narcissism is the basis for any aspiration, I will continue to express my displeasure to enlighten the uninformed on why they must vote wisely.

Why Kogi West and Ajanaku? Because I belong to the school of thought that teaches; ‘Charity begins at home’ contrary to a warped idea that charity ought to begin from outside.

In 2015, many false yarns were spun to justify the third third ambition then among which is the likelihood of Senate Presidency.

I warned and insisted that it was all a ruse. Can anyone sincerely see that happening in the present Senate if Ajanaku had won?

Was the quest about genuine desire to better the lot of our people or an attempt to tenaciously hold the cash cow the office is?

What is the verdict of majority of the people on the previous eight years?

What was the implication on Iyara as a community politically? The effect was that we allowed the ambition of one individual to make the community lose what was Iyara’s by the rotation arrangement. I shouted myself hoarse that in our attempt to have it all, we end with nothing. A golden opportunity to remain in political contention was lost because another Iyara son was betrayed. A political career was callously truncated then. And for what?

If Ijumu succeeds in sitting tight on Kogi West Senatorial seat, can three generations yet unborn aspire to the same seat if it is in the hands of others?

The Holy book says, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you: do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets…”

Many have asked what is my political inclination in all these? My take is that every Nigerian by right can aspire to contest for any political office as guaranteed by the constitution, as many have pointed out. The same constitution allows freedom of expression and for those who don’t know refusal to talk and tackle impunity can be the commencement of misfortune. The man dies in all who keep silent in the face of injustice.

I have no personal issue with Ajanaku but abhor his idea and beliefs on politics.

No single aspiration can be equal to the people’s wellbeing.

Fraud is wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.

I met a prominent Okun son in 2015 to use his considerable influence to do what is right but he arrogantly arrogated God’s power and the Almighty showed his awesomeness.

Thank God for the card reader, we are now assured our votes will count unlike pre-2015.

For those living a lie, knowing the truth is not enough; it must be lived, imbibed and propagated.

Attempting to spoon feed me will remain an exercise in futility because I can eat on my own.

Nobody should tell me a dog is a monkey despite the similar tails they have.

Anyone will verifiable facts lending credence to why Ajanaku should be voted again is allowed to showcase it. My conviction that this new attempt is morally deficient is unambiguous and preaching the gospel to open the eyes and mind of many to enable them vote wisely will be unrelenting until the election is over.

I am an advocate of equity, fairness and justice; no amount of meddlesomeness or attempt to please anyone will deter me.

I hereby appeal to all eligible voters in and from Kogi West to kindly register or transfer their PVCs home. That is the only way to reject inept leadership and elect people prepared for selfless service not those who assume our collective aspirations must revolve around their inordinate ambition.

Once an individual assumes a political office, he is accountable to the people and when issues are raised on stewardship, it is myopic to say its personal.

The dismal and abysmal terms in any office of any politician definitely deserves no other. Ire o.
