Former National President, Ijumu Students’ Union (2011) and a founding member of Senator Smart Adeyemi Continuity Movement (SESACOM), Yusuf Adeyanju Yisau, has called on Chief Tunde Olusunle, the purported Yagba Federal Constituency Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for Kogi West Senatorial District race to follow his mind, summon courage and quit the race in totality because of his political future.
The former students union leader said this while reacting to the news going round that Chief Tunde Olusunle has withdrawn his interest for the covert race.
Yisau said his decision to step down from the race is a good and accurate step at the right time.
His statement reads “I call to urge Chief Tunde Olusunle to follow his mind, summon up courage and quit the race totally because Senator Smart Adeyemi is the choice of the good people of Kogi West Senatorial District come 2015 and his decision to step down from the race earlier before now is a good and accurate step at the right time and let those people who encourage him to prepare to slug it out with Senator Smart Adeyemi comes February 14, 2015 know that victory is sure”
It will be recalled that Tunde Olusunle was adopted as consensus PDP candidate for Kogi West senatorial district by concerned Kogi West stakeholder but may likely step out of the race.
