Head Coach of Ranchers Bees FC, Joshua Jatto Alhassan has disclosed that the attacking pattern of Kogi United FC cancelled out his plan as his boys suffered a 1-3 defeat in the opening day of Nigeria National League in Lokoja.

Aminu Abdulkadir opened goals account for the home side in the 28th minutes after a through pass from Sunday Nyeayeh.

Ranchers levelled up the scores in the 48th minutes as Maika David capitalized on Kogi United’s defensive blunder to send the ball beyond keeper Shola Sheshere’s reach.

Ismaila Maiyaki’s goal in the 54th minutes gave the Wada Boys the lead again before Aminu Abdulkadir’s 58th minutes sealed the victory.

Coach Alhassan, who had earlier hoped to nick out something from the game, however gave kudos to the Coach Fatai Osho led boys for outplaying Ranchers.

“My plan was to get something out of this match, but Kogi United were a very determined and disciplined side, that gave them the victory. Their attacking style caught us off guard, and they capitalized on our mistakes, congratulations to them, they deserved the victory.”

Coach Alhassan however, promised to go back and make amendment.
