Kogi Unity Movement (KUM) has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the painful and sudden demise of his beloved father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni.
In a condolence message signed by the President of the association, Alhaji Sanni Musa, and made public by the Secretary, Olaitan Miriam Ebun, the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni was described as a man of deep humility, hard work, and noble values whose legacy is clearly reflected in the life and character of his son, the Governor.
Alhaji Musa noted that though death is an inevitable journey for all mortals, the passing of a father leaves behind a vacuum that is difficult to fill.
He, however, urged the Governor, his wife, the Governor’s mother, and the entire family to take solace in Allah, the All-Knowing, who gives and takes life at His appointed time.
“The death of a loved one is always painful and deeply saddening. As humans, we may not fully understand why Allah allows such moments of grief, but we must submit to His will, for He alone knows best.
Our prayer is that Allah, in His infinite mercy, comforts the Governor and his family, and grants the soul of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus,” the message read.

The President further encouraged the Governor’s mother to remain strong and courageous, as her role will now be even more significant in the lives of her children. He reminded her that she has become their greatest source of strength, guidance, and encouragement just as their late father once was.
He also called on the people of Kogi State to stand in solidarity with the Governor at this difficult time, not just as a leader but as a son mourning his father.
He prayed that Allah would surround the family with peace, console their hearts, and preserve the noble legacy of the departed. “Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sanni lived a life worthy of emulation.
His values will continue to inspire generations to come, especially through the good works and leadership of Governor Ododo. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Aljanah Firdaus. Amin,” Alhaji Musa concluded.
