The entire football family of Kogi United have been thrown into early Monday mourning as the death of of its Head Coach for Feeder Team, Adamu Isah ‘Oluwe’ was announced.
Coach Oluwe, as popularly called was reported to have died in the early hours of Monday after a brief illness.
He was former defender and captain of the Confluence State team before being drafted to the club’s youth team in 2015.
His playing careers span through Bank of the North FC,, FC Lokoja, Kogi United and Confluence Beach Team.
He has guided the Feeder team of Kogi United to win numerous grassroots competitions including the Tiyu Sports Competition.
Adamu Isah Oluwe was also the YSFON coach who guided the Kogi State U15 team to the final of this year’s Ramat Cup in Kano.
Reacting to his sudden demise, Coordinator of Kogi United Feeders, Alhaji Yahaya Ali Keller described Oluwe’s death as shocking and unfortunate.
He said Oluwe was a dedicated and thoroughbred coach who has impacted the team with his leadership qualities and technical efficient.
Keller prayed God to grant him eternal rest and give his immediate family and relatives the fortitude to bear his sudden demise.
Coach Adamu Isah Oluwe has since been buried according to Islamic injunctions.
He was survived by father, mother, wife and three children.
