The acting General Manager, Kogi Agro-allied company, Malam Abdulkadir Shaibu, has said that the outfit is veritable tools for employment and revenue generation for the state if properly managed.
Shaibu said yesterday in Lokoja said his recent assessment tour of agro-allied firms being managed by his company afforded him first-hand knowledge of their challenges. He said three additional oil mills would be established to complement the existing three in the state adding that the older ones would be resuscitated to function at optimal capacity while the palm plantations would be expanded.
According to him, Alade Oil Mill in Igalamela-Odolu Local Government, is presently not in operation but would soon be revamped as government is exploring all avenues to revamp it alongside other moribund projects.
