Kogi state government has stepped up plans to continue to protect residents from the coronavirus pandemic.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo made this known in Lokoja on Tuesday when the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) team visited him in his office.
He has told the NCDC team that Kogi State Covid-19 Squadron Team has inaugurated a Contact Tracing Team that is set to identify and locate persons manifesting Covid-19 symptoms.
Fanwo stated that the state government has been proactive in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic.
The Communications Division of the NCDC is set to train communications and information officers of main stream media across the state for adequate skills in sensitising the people and also strengthen the effort of the state government.
