Reports from Kogi State University has indicated that the Students Union Government will be conducted online this year.
The exercise, which is the first of its kind in the institution, will enable all the students cast their votes as against selecting delegates to represent the students which has been the tradition of the school.
While some students have expressed fear over the possibility of hacking the system, the Dean of Students Affairs, Professor Arogba has allayed their fear.
Arogba explained that the success recorded with the online hostel allocation gives him reasons to believe that the system will be successful.
Earlier in the week, a letter rumoured to have emanated from the Kogi State Government nominating preferred aspirants went viral on social media.
However, the outgoing Students Union Government President, Comrade Omepa Philip, debunked the letter saying it was a plot to disorganize the plans of the SUG towards conducting a free, fair and credible election.
