The Management of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of the 2025 Christmas celebration, urging them to reflect on and imbibe the true lessons of the season, which are anchored on love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
The Acting Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, made this known in a goodwill message issued in Lokoja to mark the Christmas celebration.
Dr. Folagbade commended members of staff of the hospital for their hard work, dedication and commitment to duty throughout the year 2025, noting that their diligence and professionalism have contributed significantly to improved healthcare service delivery in the state.
According to him, the sacrifices and selfless service of health workers, particularly in the face of increasing demands on the health sector, reflect the spirit of love and compassion which Christmas represents.
The Acting CMD called on Christians and residents of the state to use the festive period to pray for Kogi State and the continued success of the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, stressing that prayers remain vital to sustaining peace, unity and development.
Dr. Folagbade further urged the people to promote love, tolerance and understanding among one another, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, adding that such virtues are essential for building a healthier and more united society.
He reassured the public of the hospital’s unwavering commitment to quality healthcare delivery and wished Christians a joyous Christmas celebration and a prosperous new year.
