The forum of Local Government Coordinators of Kogi State National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Director General of the state’s Presidential Campaign Council, Hon Edward Onoja over the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly polls.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu and made available to newsmen in Lokoja also lauded the pivotal roles played by other members of the Campaign Council which culminated in delivering the state to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Comrade Abdul, as the forum Chairman is popularly called, said Governor Bello demonstrated unmatched political sagacity and administrative acumen throughout the campaign period, hence the victory of the party.
The statement also noted that the state had unarguably some of the best political brains Kogi State can offer on parade, adding that the responsibilities accorded the youths by the state government was a clear proof the present administration has the best interest of the demography at heart.
It noted that the youths have never had it so good since the inception of the state and called on them to continue to maintain decorum at all times even as they engage in politicking.
Comrade Abdul used the opportunity to urge the government to sustain and improve on its youth inclusiveness in governance and the youths to reciprocate by being responsible at all times.
It further promised their unequivocal commitment to the ideals of the present administration in moving the state forward and wishes the ruling APC victory in all future elections with the hope it would herald improved physical and other forms of development to all parts of the state and the country at large.
