As part of the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state toward tackling the menace of unemployment as well as effective service delivery, the Kogi state Ministry of Transportation is set to recruit a total of two hundred and fifty staff to help strengthen manpower and other human logistics required for the effective operations of vehicle inspection unit of the ministry.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Prince Sani Ogu Salisu shortly after the weekly State Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, 9th August 2017 adding that the Council has equally given approval for the release of twenty five Hilux Vans, a Heavy and Light Duty Towing vans and the Engagement of an Insurance Company for Third Party Insurance for Commercial Vehicles.
Speaking further, he noted that the government of his excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello is anchored on stewardship poised at making meaningful impact on the livelihood of the citizens and nothing shall deter this resolve.
It will be recalled that the Honorable Commissioner for Transportation has earlier resuscitated the Kogi travelers even as he works around clock towards ensuring the full running of the state owned ultra Modern park at Felele in Lokoja. The success of the recruitment exercise shall be therefore placing him on a tall standing in terms of convincing justification of office.
