The Kogi State Government is to create a free trade zones that will encourage and support investment opportunities in the State.
Arc Yomi Awoniyi, Kogi State Deputy Governor and Chairman Relief Management Committee,made this known when he received relief materials distributed to Banda Communities from Lubcon Nigeria Limited in Lokoja.
Represented by AVM Abdul Gabriel (rtd), Special Adviser on Disaster Management,said the floods which affected Banda Community where the Lubcon Refinery and Petro Chemical Company will be located in the state,was devastating, caused untold hardship for the people.
The Deputy Governor commended Lubcon for associating with the community in their moment of grief and loss,said enabling environment for industries to thrive is been put in place to encourage investors by the present administration.
While acknowledging the plight faced by the people as a result of the flood, Government, Awoniyi, disclosed is working towards reducing the sufferings of flood affected persons in the state.
Earlier in his speech, Simon Owojaiye, Group Managing Director, Lubcon Group of Companies,said the donation is aimed at reducing the sufferings noticed after the flood,called for a collective efforts that will quickly addressed the loss and devastation currently faced by the people.
