Kogi State Gov.’s CPS Tour Media Organizations in Lokoja, Solicits Better Working Relationship

The Chief Press Secretary to Kogi State Governor, Muhammed Onogwu has paid a working visit to all media houses in Lokoja to thank them for the wonderful job they’ve been doing for his principal and solicit support for the success of his office.

He told media executives during the visit on Tuesday of his commitment to working closely with them, noting that his regime was ready to open a new vista in terms working relationship.

Onogwu told them that he understood media was critical to the success of any government as they were responsible for disseminating important information about its activities to members of the public.

The CPS said the present administration was doing a lot in several sectors to impact lives of the people of Kogi State positively, and informed them of his commitment to creating conducive environment for practitioners to succeed.

He said the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello has taken on improving critical infrastructure in all parts of the state, invested heavily in the security sector, revolutionised the agricultural sector through massive investment that has led to the state having one of the largest rice mills in Nigeria in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area, reformed the state civil service among others and called for a more cordial relationship to get the public better informed about Kogi State government’s achievements.

Onogwu then interacted with line editors and staff of the organizations, and assured them of an open door policy.

The heads and other stakeholders assured him of their commitment to working with his office and thanked him for the visit.

The visit took him to Kogi State Printing and Publishing Corporation, Publishers of The Graphic Newspaper, NTA Lokoja, Radio Kogi and Radio Nigeria’s Prime FM.

He also used the opportunity to supervise the progress of work at the new edifice of the Kogi State Printing and Publishing Corporation.
