The Kogi State College of Education (Technical) Kabba has achieved 100% success in accreditation of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs.
This was contained in press statement that quoted the letter from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) Abuja conveying the result of the accreditation exercise conducted in the college in November last year and was made available the Guardian in Lokoja yesterday.
The press statement was signed by the public relations officer of the college, Mr. Onall Yunusa.
As contained in the statement, the result released by the commission indicated that the college presented 11 programs for accreditation during the course of the exercise and all the programs sailed through as they were accredited.
According to the Statement, the successful programs were those of Biology, Education, Mathematics Education, Interpreted Science and Computer Education.
Others that also got the nod of the commission include Physics, chemistry, Fine and applied Arts, Technical Education, as well as Agricultural education and physical and Health Education.
According to the statement the provost of the institution Dr. Awo Olajide Komolafe who was elated by the success of the exersise said it is the testimony on the hard work and dedication to duty by the staff of the college and Governments support to the college.
“It is the first of its kind for a new college to achieve the feat of clinching 100% success in accreditation outing among colleges of Education in the country.
“It behaves on the teeming youths of the State and the country at large to take advantage of the new status of the college to enroll into the various programs of the institution to be self employed and sufficient.”
The institution hosted the team from the NCCE between November 22nd and 28th, 2015 for the accreditation exercise.
