The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Kolawole Mathew, has charged members of the House of Assembly to deliver more dividend of democracy to the constituency to justify their election into the House.

Hon Kolawole stated this over the weekend at Ankpa during the commissioning of some projects executed by the member representing Ankpa 11 constituency, Hon Momo Rabiu Alfa, noting that it was through execution of projects that the people will enjoy democracy dividends through pledges made and wish the member to represent them, again.

“From what I have seen so far in the constituency‎ of Hon Momo Rabiu Alfa, coupled with commendation from the people in this constituency, Hon Rabiu has won for himself the return ticket to the House of Assembly,” the Speaker said.

Kolawole, who urges other members of the Assembly who have not executed constituency projects‎ see the works of Hon Rabiu as a challenge to embark on oversight function for the realisation of the pledges during campaigns.

He said All Progressives Congress‎ (APC) will continue to give Nigerians quality service as exemplified by most representatives are doing in terms of projects, pointing out that Hon Rabiu, a dogged fighter has proved that his election to the House of Assembly by his people was not a fluke.

Earlier, Hon Rabiu stressed that it was a different ball game in the House and political considerations are for those who are patient no matter promises made to the people, noting that “in the House one needs to be focused and determined or else all things will elude you.”
