Rt Hon Matthew Kolawole, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has described the demise of a former member of the National Assembly, Hon Suleiman Abdul Kokori as shocking.
In a statement issued by his chief press secretary in Lokoja on Sunday, Kolawole said Kokori’s words of wisdom and support will be greatly missed.
He said the demise of the current Federal Commissioner representing Kogi State at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission after a brief illness is a great loss not only to the Kokori family but the entire Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, the state and country.
The Speaker noted that Kokori was a forthright politician that truly loved his people through his gargantuan contributions to the overall development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
He charged his entire family members to uphold the legacy of his diligence, tolerance and perseverance as the vacuum created by his demise will be hard to fill.
He prayed that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
