The Chairman, Elders Advisory Council, Ijumu Local Government Area, Chief APS Arogundade has congratulated the winners of yesterday All Progressive Congress (APC) Senatorial Primary Elections in Kogi West, Senator Smart Adeyemi and his counterparts from Kogi East and Central respectively.
Chief Arogundade who made this statement earlier today, Thursday 4th October, 2018 described the trio of Senator Smart Adeyemi, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho, and Alhaji Yakubu Oseni as gentlemen with clear vision and ability to get the job done. Stating the APC has crossed the Ts in electing candidates that are easy to market and who can guarantee victory at the general elections. He also expressed confidence in their ability to provide quality representation at their various constituencies when elected.
APS Arogundade also took time to appreciate the leader of the party in the state, His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello for providing a level playing ground for all aspirants in the election and also praised other party leaders in the state for supervising a free, fair and violent free elections.
He used the opportunity to call on all those who contested in the Primaries, especially those from Kogi West to see the outcome of the election as the will of the people, hinting that the journey has just began. “Let us ALL work together as a party with unity of purpose to deliver Kogi West from unfortunate representation at the National Assembly. Kogi West are Smart people. Everybody is hereby welcome on board for a Smart Ride,” he said.
